Artist | Photographer | Writer | Yoga Faciliator | Land Worker

I am a Scotland based inter-disciplinary artist and thinker using lens based media, writing and embodied practices.  I am also a landworker and skilled facilitator as well as a student and teacher of yoga.

My practice has involved documenting artistic processes and performance through photography and film for over a decade as well as engaging in a deliberately diverse and collaborative practice. The limbs of my practice reach into embodied knowledges, sensory ecologies, multi-species entanglement, forms of care, movement, singing, deep listening and rest. Central to my practice is an interrogation of how creative vocabularies, participatory and social collaboration can function to address ecological crisis and re-navigate a relationship to the more-than-human.

I also visually document artistic processes, community art and growing projects, as well as accepting commissions for portraiture of people, our more-than-human companions and the rituals and passages we move through. I photograph with an acute sensitivity and aptitude for listening to detail; both spoken and felt.

From 2023-2024 I studied an MA in Movement, Mind & Ecology at Schumacher College, Devon. As part of my research I developed ‘Nocturning: Becoming Spherical;' an exploration of night-walking in Scotland with my black labrador, Beag. It attended to the affective dynamics and relations of darkness and explored how immersive exposures in the night can illuminate other ways of knowing, seeing and being. The work can be read here

In April 2024, I returned to Devon to learn how to grow food regeneratively; working and living on land in the Southwest whilst working at a variety of market gardens and CSAs. During this period I interrogated a connection to land, labour, landownership, exploitation, food sovereignty and classism.

I also have extensive experience working with children and young people in a variety of settings, as well as facilitation experience within a broad range community settings.

I am neurodivergent, working class and spent the first seven years of my life living in the Traveller community.

All of these languages, contexts and skills inform the sensitivity of my work, how I make it and who I make it with.

I am a member of Living RentLandworkers' Alliance and Scottish Artist Union. I am also PVG registered.

-

Focusing in and filtering out.

Engaged in the act of noticing and paying attention. Of attuning to and tuning in, listening and translating.

Tracing and transforming.

I witness people, beings, ecologies, place, gatherings, processes, performance, presence and absence.

In story, in dialogue, we imagine and dream into other ways of being.
